Batchelder Salvage in Minneapolis

In Feburary 2006 the HTA has received a very interesting call on a historic tile find.  Architectural Antiques was called to salvage a home but when they arrived they discovered the room they had to remove was completely done in Batchelder tile.  The home owners did not care for the work and wanted to just rip it out of the home.  Bob Jeffery from Architectural Antiques was able to convince them to let him take it out intact.  Bob contacted both the Tile Heritage Foundation and the HTA to find out if there is a person or organization that could help them find a new home for the tiles.  The HTA has contacted the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to see if it would be able to be considered for a period home.  The HTA has created a page on the website in the tile map section featuring the tiles.  Please pass this on to anyone you might think might be interested in the pieces.
