Welcome to the Handmade Tile Association

The Handmade Tile Association is a volunteer group of independent and diverse tile artists, working in handmade tile, mosaics, tile history, tile setters, tile showrooms, galleries, tile organization, material supplier, classes, design services, and tile related fields all across the country.

Our intent is to allow easier access to the tile artists and the resources around them to better serve the public, tile setters, designers, contractors, architects, and organizations of the community and beyond. To receive a free copy of the 2008 directory please email us.

Handmade Tile Directory

The HTA publishes an annual directory of tile artists from the Upper Midwest. The 2008 HTA directory represents 33 handmade tile and mosaic artists of which you can commission kitchen backsplashes, fireplaces, bathrooms, public art, garden sculptures, and art for almost any application. 

Our members are more diverse than ever featuring handmade tile, hand painted tile, glass, and mosaic artists. All of our members are on the web site, including “how-to- guides” for tile setting and links to related tile groups. Find a professional tile setter, where to take mosaic and tile making classes. Our directory will give you the choices and information you need to make quality decisions with professional advice all at no charge to you.
